The Lake House.

just got home from a movie with my sister!
we caught The Lake House and i rate it 6 out of 5!
my sister & I were very eager to watch The Lake House and it's very worth her $ 19.
seriously.
but you gotta be mentally prepared for the confusing plot though.
very touching story!
and oh, SANDRA BULLOCK rocks okeh!

btw, the song i'm listening to, is from The Lake House's soundtrack.
we actually waited for the credits to roll up until we found the singer and title of this song.
haha.
ok cool.

let's update on yesterday.
well, we planned to catch a movie around 3+.
i figured i could make it cos my dad's fetching me before 6.
but due to some dilly-dallying, i couldn't catch a movie with them.
so i went off to causeway point with sebas first.
checked out the big machine which seems to attract lots of people AND cheat money.
ky and hy arrived shortly after.
played somekind of game.
had our early dinner and then dad fetched me.
the rest of the girls caught a movie if i'm not wrong, while i followed my dad to orchard, to fetch my mum and sister.

met my relatives right after.
went to bpp to have dinner tgt at Sakura.
i didn't eat. lol. was very full.
while my family continued eating, i took care of chubby little DANISH !
walked around the whole level.
he didn't want to hold my both my cousin's hand; he wanted to hold mine only!
awwwww. so adorable!
saw cijin and junhao. waved. cj said they look like my children! zzzzz!

headed home after.

Frog Dissection

today marks a dot on my history!
WE DISSECTED A FREAKING BIG FAT SMELLY FROG !

yes! during biology practical!
it wasn't as bad as i thought.
but the smell was even worse than i imagined!
i nearly got sick and it lasted till chem practical, even after i had my recess!
it was THAT bad.
i didn't want to do it at first, but looking at NJ and Dah struggle, i decided to help.
the skin was ultra tough and the scapel was blunt!
it was hard to cut at first but we managed to tear the skin apart.
ky helped me record the whole thing so i'll post up the url at the end of my post!
anyway, after we cut through the skin and meat, we tried to name the organs.
abut funny cos everything looks like stomach.
i only managed to identify the intestine, which was pretty obvious.
liver was blackish.
lungs was small and soft-ish.
heart, we can't find! -.-"
some bubble like thing which claimed to be the large intestine.

then, we tried taking out all the insides so we can see the spine.
but we couldn't cut through them all!
we got to see the spine after all of that though.
also the nerves. white nerves!
no time to cut through the thighs though. gah.
and the eyeballs! oh my, i was so difficult to cut them out!
i wanted to burst it but i was afraid the lens would burst too.
so we didn't get to see our on froggy's lens. saddening.
haha. and goodness the whole "surgery" was soooooooooooooo smelly!
huhu.

Racial Harmony Day

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR DEREK LIM !!!
ALSO, HAPPY RACIAL HARMONY DAY!

yesyes, mr lim's birthday is on racial harmony!
we did a huge card for him.
well, not really a card lah but we wrote our messages on a maroon cardboard.
i even got Fee to help us write a poem for mr lim!
hahas.
didn't get to take a pic of it though.

today was really fun!
ky, hy, sebas, dah, carmen, jothi & myself wore our ethnic clothes.
but our class NOT STEADY at all!
except for a few plus ourselves, no one else wore! booo*
well anyway, we had our lil adventure early in the morning, already.
we had some free time before bio class starts in the morning so we decided to find mr lim to give him the hugecard we did.
after a lil fuss pasting our last minute pictures, we headed out of class in search of mr lim.
we knew he would be with 4e3.
we were so excited until we saw mr anand walking to our class!
we didn't know what to do.
all of us were suddenly dumfounded and didn't know what to say.
so i tried my luck and asked him if we could go find mr lim & we only need 3 mins.
he suddenly asked for what and saw the hugecard.
and then, HE ALLOWED! how cool! so unlikely of him. haha.
so we walked to 4e3 and the class was empty! we all assumed they went to phy lab but we were abit hesitant in going up cos i asked mr anand for only 3 mins.
after a lil thinking. we decided to rush all the way up to the fourth floor!
yes, we literally ran barefooted in our not-so-easy-to-run-in clothes and carrying our heels. so fun!
shagged out once we reached the fourth floor and saw mr lim's calss entering the lab.
we stood outside the door and waited for him to head out.
we gave him the hugecard and waited for his reaction.
then we sang the birthday song right outside the physics lab, when we're suppose to be in class having bio, when mr lim is suppose to be teaching physics and when we're not suppose to be roaming in school singing a birthday song for our beloved teacher during lesson.
LOL.
it was one of our bravest thing to do in school. haha.
it was great lah.
mr lim told us he'd talk to us after school.
so we headed back to class for our bio.
a few steps away from the lab and we heard the whole of 4e3 singing the birthday song for mr lim.
HAH. COPYMEOWS. i guess we're the only ones who knew it was his birthday and actually put in effort to do something for him. yaaaaay. =)

so we watched a video on a dissected FROG and refelx action stuff. GROSS but interesting.
and another about respiration. lame-d out.
MT was boring. took pictures in class.

HELLO again.

long time no blog!
well i guess i gotta cut down on blogging yea.
prelims are like less than 2 months away!
and my class' english prelim oral will probably be on 11 august.
now everybody, "aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!"

anyways, school was a-okay.
except for boring lessons lah.
i can't help not feeling bored during english.
hahas.
oh yah! meow tan hit on me during her lesson. TWICE!
once yesterday and the other earlier today.
i SWEAR i've never fell asleep in her class before.
maybe i get bored but not until i wanna close my eyes and fall asleep!
during her lesson yesterday i was feeling quite lethargic because it was early in the morn and i already felt tired the moment i even got out of bed. i seriously don't know why.
but i did listen to her in class and i DID NOT doze of at all! just putting my head down on the table.
what's so wrong with that?! i was just feeling a little tired + giddy ok.
and she went like, "why do you look so tired? did you climb bukit timah hill yesterday?"
zzzzz!
and earlier today, SHE DID IT AGAIN.
i was just rubbing my eyes out of MERE ITCHINESS.
and she said, "are you sick? why do you look so tired? are you watching reruns of the world cup? sit up and open your eyes WIDE..." and blahblahblah.
so CRAP!
and she continued! "i dunno why you're so tired nowadays."
ONE MORE TIME, I AM SAYING THE TRUTH AND ONLY THE TRUTH.
I WAS SERIOUSLY ONLY TIRED IN THESE TWO DAYS AND I'VE NEVER BEEN LIKE THIS BEFORE.
I SERIOUSLY WAS LISTENING THROUGHOUT HER LESSON AND UNDERSTOOD EVERY SINGLE THING!
she's so atrocious! hmpf.

whatever.
on a lighter note, gfs and i will be wearing malay ethnic costumes tmr because it's RACIAL HARMONY DAY!

FINALLY TG's album.

i've finally got Teddy Geiger's album from freaking Joshua!
zzz.
took so long to pass it to me.
hahas.

today was pretty ok.
had rate of reactions test.
i think ok lah, except moles.
fast forward~

find mr anand for bio.
read up on transport system for animals.
then he called us over to the blue room and we recap-ed on that chapter.
it wasn't boring lah. quite interesting.
discussed here & there.
after that, i was ENLIGHTENED !
suddenly everything was crystal clear.
hope i don't forget !
headed to bb court after.
waited for Fee and then played a lil bb.
then home.

Pictures.

today's lessons started off kinda draggy.
with 2 periods of biology and 3 periods of chemistry being our first 5 periods of the day.
it didn't start too well. i was so tired and sleepy.
tried to wake myself up by reading out the corrections on the screen. LOLs.
anyway, for e maths we just did paper 2 and it ends quite fast.
and then there's no more lessons for us except lifeskills which are literally "redundant".
oh yah! sebas, ky, hy, carmen & myself are the GREENIES for the class!
how cool. haha.

anyway, assembly will only resume from 28 August onwards.
which means, we can leave school an hour early (i.e. 2.30 p.m.) every monday.
but Mr Ang told me that he will take this 1 hour for practicals.
it's so sick okay.
we have like, 3 periods of chem on mondays PLUS 1 hour of practical which is supposedly our "after curriculum" time.
but pracs are fun so it's okay!
talking about practicals, we had an hour & a half of practical earlier.
Titration + QA!
and i was elated when i finally get a positive result for test for gases.
OXYGEN! & i did it infront of mr ang. so happy!
and one of the QA results gave a GLITTERY YELLOW PERCIPITATE.
it was so cool!
i've never seen such things during chem pracs and yes, ky & myself took pictures of it.
it's not clear though.

yesterday, i glanced at the album during morning assembly when he was getting it back from someone.

anyway, i mouthed him to let me have a look at it.
then he said during recess.
so i asked during recess and he gave all his crap.
until just now, he said he'll borrow it to me after Cheryl give him back.
in my mind i was like, borrow? i didn't say i wanted to. LOL.
but of course, since he said he's gonna borrow it to me, then what the heck? hehs.

there you go. our punishment for any offences in our Geography class.
it was hilarious the way mr lim demonstrated.
it's called the Step Out Programme.
obviously, you will have to sit outside class after the chantings.

i'm so sorry i haven't been blogging.
i'm just so lazy nowadays!

anyway, i had my malay oral yesterday.
and it suckedd big time!
i was so darn nervous then even when it comes to reading the passage, i stammered a few times!
the conversation was reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally bad!
i mean, the q was "resolutions in one's life is important. what's your opinion?"
so not interesting at all !
BOOHOO !
i screwed my oral big timeeeeeee !

it's over anyway. =(

i have one more thing to say.
but i forgot !
damn my brains.

anyway, ms neo gave us a "test" during her lesson.
it was only for five mins for 29 qs.
everybody was rushing to ans all the qs.
turns out, we were supposed to only READ the test and not attempt the qs.
ms neo said, this shows how we never read the instructions properly and that this is important for our practicals.

gah.

oh yeah, Fee said he scolded that girl-who-claims-herself-to-be-so-matured.
it's SO peaceful now.

Shorter Hair.

it's sssssssoooooooooooo irritating.
i have tons to do over this weekends and my sister kept asking me to do her project.
like, HELLO.
i have my own stuff to do, alright?
gosh. and you wanna blame me for waking up late yesterday?
it's the ONLY time i can wait up at whatever time i wish to since it's already the start of school.
it already worries me that my biology tys is gone.
and u want me to spend these two days doing your project?!
that leaves me like 1 freaking day to do all my hmwks and read-ups.
it's so frustrating to make someone else happy and be miserable yourself.

NEVERTHELESS, thanks for the haircut sis.
