had maths quiz and i'm able to do the hypothesis question.! forget about ANOVA table la, pls. that's a goner and i don't care. the main point is, i'm able to do hypothesis testing. so why am i so happy with myself? cos from knowing NOTHING about hypothesis (i didn't attend hypo lectures and never tried the tutorials at all. shut up! i know), i manage to study & understand all by myself.! asked maths tutor ONLY about the Decision part and that helped greatly. (:

it's like i only studied the topic from scratch THREE days ago.
IN THREE DAYS! i mean, omg la. maybe the "freaking out" thing really helps. kuakuakua...

remember those days of Ding Dong, Tora & Jo Jo?

when i was a kid, i always wanted a box whenever mum heads to a nearby shop. on days when i feel happy, i'd grab Ding Dong (which is the smallest & cheapest, btw) and beg my mum to buy it for me. most of the time i buy Ding Dong. when i feel like trying something new, i get Tora. and on my more daring days (not often cos i was afraid of mummy, haha), i get my mum to buy Jo Jo which was the biggest!

of course my mum don't always have it my way. she knew i'm only in for the toy and i almost never eat the choco biscuits that came with it! xDD

the toys back then were much more fun.. whistles, puzzles, racing cars and whathaveyous.



today, the "toy" is not even a toy! what i got was a cartoon wristband that does no good. and the choco balls are smaller in size! =(

but it's still fun to get them, no?
hehe. these kinda thing still gets to me today cos i love surprises!

MRT didn't operate from Tanah Merah to Pasir Ris today. some disruption or whatever. what an ass. pffft. i left pretty early today hoping to reach school before 9. but ended up reaching at 920am!! effort wasted. roarrrrrrr.

and the Q for 69 from Bedok is daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn looooooooooooooooong. period.

tried to concentrate my way through maths lecture but to no avail. seriously can't catch any balls. ANOVA? ANOVA? ANOVA?? HPI lecture was fine. caught small balls. HAHAHA. cellb urmmm... well i did pay attention until i felt like i'm gonna have another coughing fit. so i gave up and slept for the rest of the lecture. i was in main LT so well... courageous of me. ngehehehe.

HPI LAB WAS BORING.
but something hilarious happened la! i paired up with Nadd for the practical. then there's this question which said something like, "have your partner use light touch to explore the marked areas with a dissecting pin..."

we got confused. like, reeeeeally confused.

[before you read on, you need to know that we were doing a practical on senses. in this case, sense of touch. so we used a pin to poke diff areas on the hand to feel the sensation.]

"use light torch for what sia?"
"shine on our hand is it? then we poke the squares on our hands."
"means you shine the torch on your hand then i poke the squares?"
"but why need torch ah?"

*scrambles to teacher's bench to find a torch*

"where got torch?"
"ahhh, dunno ah. nvm ah we just do without it."
"anyway, we don't understand what is it for."

*reads instructions for the umpteenth time*

"maybe must observe the skin? but what for sey..."
"dunno laa... *looks around at others* nvm, we just do ah.."

so when we were about to start, i read the instructions again..

before i even let out my little giggle, i pointed out the word to Nadd and we BOTH threw out head back and roared with laughterrrrr! OH. MY. GAWD. can you imagine how blurr we were?! i mean TOUCH and TORCH!

and we still looked around for it. and spent 10min figuring out what to do! and EVEN contemplated on asking Ms Hor!! -____-!! luckily we kept our stupidity to ourselves and figured it out on our own.

and funny thing is, Ms Hor was on the other side of the bench smiling widely - probably trying to contain her laughter. did she knew what happened? GOD KNOWS. haha.

- in school by 10am.
- started guiding parents/students around AS booths.
- stood and guided till 1+pm. fatigue in legs were building up.!

- more guiding until 5pm. was rather satisfied with a-guides' job. for myself, guided a family and they said i gave a very good summary of the courses. was pleased that i'm of good help(:

- had appreciation dinner at Mensa once duty ended.
- received (leftover) goodie bags and slacked at LT 1 for a little while.

Jam & Hop is the closest thing i've ever been to a gig. LMAO.

there were loooooooads of people, obviously. BUT IT WAS SUUUUUUUUUPER DUPER FUN! i mean how can it not be fun when you see some smooth moves from TPDE, yawn-ing while Sleeq performed (no, we don't hate them) and trying to get high when the lead singer of one band (what what Utensils?) screamed his lungs out??

but the best of all is definitely when the DJ spinned GROOVY tunes.
Nadd and Muna had to leave earlier so it was me, Linn and her friend who rocked the dance session. there were lotssssss of grinding going on - left, right, up, down, center. but i tell you, you wouldn't care about them cos you're too busy dancing, yawww!

saw Faiz and Fizz. Faiz was alone so i danced with him a little. then i wanted to shift away when one guy in black danced with me. so i did. then i realised i couldn't see Linn and her friend already! i panic sia! LOL. i was surrounded by 3 smelly boys, can! suddenly one of the 3 came infront of me to dance! ZZZZZZZZZs!!!!!!!!!! he was kinda cute actually, haha. ANYWAY, i got kinda lost for awhile. random danced with the boys, squeeze my way through then i manage to find Linn and her friend after all!!!! hahahaha! =P

just, you know, it's my first mahs. ;)

there's this time one guy came infront of me and started dancing. so i thought, ok lah sporting abit. i shall dance with him too. then his hand went on my waist and i'm like, uh-oh. then Linn and her friend shouted my name and i knew something was wrong already. I GOT SCARED, PUSHED HIS HAND DOWN AND DANCED OVER TO LINN! omg lahhhh, hahaha!

when we were heading home, they both shouted at me: OMG ZUU!! YOU DANCED WITH (insert guy's name here)!!! of course, i was blurr la. cos i dunno who's he and they know him. i scared sia. hahaha.

first "clubbing" experience in TP and i'm not even 18 yet!

and it's cool cos you don't have to know someone to dance with them.

today was kinda blah a little.
we didn't do much guiding. in fact, we only took one class! but that's ok cos when it comes to TP Mass Dance.. it was damn happening! there were alot of people. AS and IIT guides had to mix cos we're in one building mah. haha. so we random picked one guy from IIT.

second day was a little boring luhhh, except for ONE!
i saw eyecandy*, hahahahohohohuhuhuhehehe.
i was on standby at AS entrance when he came to Farid (ASc president) to enquire about something! i was damn shock luh, i mean he come to IITAS block got what sia?. Farid was just diagonally opposite me so yeah, was quite obvious it was eyecandy*.

ahhh, where's the reason for me to dislike him? he's so cute, has hot hair, well-dressed. i like la, i liiiiike! (in bimbotic tone) LOL. i'm so hiiiiiiiiigh.

but that's not all... when we headed to triangular garden, i saw him again!! he was eating ben&jerry's! so cute! then when he threw away his container, i was looking away. when i turned, he was quite near where i was standing and i saw him did a funny face (cos he couldn't see what's on stage, i think)! so cuuuute! then he walked away and went into the library! awww!

sigh... it's been almost a year and my heart still races when he's in sight.

after johor, headed to bpp for dinner at LJS. grandma told story to mum and mum told me. i got a little pissed. i shall not mention what when who here. obviously my privacy is invaded and rumours were spreaded like wildfire. not gonna mention more.

first of all, the rest of my term test papers. i did pretty well for my BMic paper! 38/50. how about that?! :D :D :D i was surprised plus anxious when i saw some others getting 36, 37, 41.. but little did i know that i was able to get 38. haa-di-haha! and yesssssa, i'm quite shocked! i thought i'd fail, seriously.

and for maths.. ohmygawd, for maths! you know, i know, we ALL know i suck at maths x 10000. i was prepared to have a fail grade and to be honest, i wouldn't be surprised if i did! but i was still a little nervous to see how badly i failed. Mr Sarcastic passed me my paper and paused - "you survived." L-M-A-O. shyte the suspense! i looked to see how badly i passed and i got..

it's gonna be sooooo happening in TP this coming 10jan-12jan! Jam&Hop on 12jan too! i'll be at AS school to tour the students around. it'll be so cool. =P

'O' Level students and peeps considering poly education, do come down to TP's Open House! i swear you'd be having hellava fun time. i know y'all will think it's not gonna be much stuff but.. i assure you! i was doubtful about Open Houses when i was an 'O' Level student myself but trustttt me, TP planned out loads of stuff for this event!

not just boring booths with booklets, yaw! TP - not just AS school - planned loads of activities! so come down, come down, come down! :D

i don't really have the mood to write today.
but i'm not gonna abandon my blog. i still have readers and i don't wanna risk losing them, heh heh. (:

alright so, i've received two of my term test papers back. HPI and CellB. i was pleasantly surprised when i passed my HPI; 30/50. and for CellB, 20.5/30. it;s pretty borderline la but.. yeah. i studied pretty hard for these papers. it's BMic & Mst2 i'm anxious about. tomorrow! =/

talking about BMic, we had our lab session just now. did more streaking on more agar plates. i tell you, one of the samples had such a foul smell!! i just lifted the cover a little to take some bacteria out and i can already smell the pungent-ness! i wanted to puke already, urrrghh! *nauseous* =X

also, we got our pour, spread and individual streak plates that we did last practical (which was 3 weeks ago). checked whether there were any colonies growing..



there were, of course! :D

i was pretty damn sure i screwed my streak plate and that no colonies were going to grow on the agar. remember i said i melted some of the agar? i thought i didn't isolate them properly cos of my messy streaking. but was proved wrong cos there were colonies on my plate! :D



see the opaque dotssss? one dot = one colony = grown from a single cell.
i was pleased. i managed to streak properly! and then the pour & spread plates, i did it with Rainbow and AlexZz. hahas. the isolation was pretty good too! there were spread out and each colony is visible. we didn't have much problem with counting the colonies on the plate.



this was our best spread plate! we forgot who did this one la but check out the colonies, man. huge and countable. that's pretty awesome, no? (: BMic lab is pretty interesting, i must say. unlike CellB! all we do is look into microscopes and draw. zzzz.

anyway i saw eyecandy* today but i'm not gonna say much because if i do, i'd be upset and that would already violate my 2008 Resolution #4.
