my mummy's kuih raya!

IT'S TIME FOR THE ANNUAL KUIH RAYA ENTRY!

(chey, like real! lol)

it looks like alot but actually, there's only 6 types my mum made this year. haha. and i helped alot too, okay! late nights and whatnots, it's very tiring! alright, i don't have a very detailed entry like last time . i haven't got time to write a proper entry these days so no wordy entry, no multiple pictures for each kuih. in fact, i have only ONE pic. nyaawwwww.

my mum's specialty & most popular ones are Kuih Tart and Makmur. so there you go. you wanna taste it? come over to my house, baby! there is no other way. unless you're one of my darlings; i'll be packing a small box of those cookies specially for you guys! F1!

LET'S TALK ABOUT F1!

i was rooting for Lewis Hamilton all the way just because he's cute. but hey, he's such a pro driver too! you guys watched the whole race earlier tonight right? he settled for a third, well that's not too bad. but did you guys see all the juicy bits?!?! like the first crash by Piquet, another racer who was outed and my very favourite -

the traffic light mishap for Ferrari driver Massa at the pitstop!!!
did you see one of their mechanics toppled over while holding on to the fuel hose which is still attached to the car?!?! apparently Massa saw the green light and just moved off without knowing the the fuel hose was still attached! trust me, i was actually laughing my heads off watching the whole scene. partly cos it just plain funny, on another part i wanted Hamilton to win so haha at Massa (but i felt bad/sympathetic after).

damn boy, that goes your first place.
such luck, huh!

and that's not the only horrible thing that happened to the Ferrari team.
Raikkonen from Ferrari then crashed into the barriers.
and then Massa lost control and kinda 'stopped' by the side of the track. and when he joined the race a few seconds later, Sutil (India) crashed into the wall from where Massa just left! my dad said the crash was because of Massa entering the track. Ferrari seems to be ruining almost everything tonight. -_-

BUT WHAT A RACE, HUH!
so many stuff happened and i still cannot forget that pitstop incident.
ahahaha.

last night dad happened to drive past one of the highways overlooking the Marina Bay Circuit and i tell you, when you're there looking at the whole circuit lit up with thousands of people at the floating platform, it just feels so surreal. like suddenly, i'm proud to be a Singaporean.! even the Singapore Flyer was lighted red & white for the F1! haha!

yesyes, F1 got me at the edge of my seat!
for a girl, that's quite impressive right! HAHA! :D

B.U.S.Y

no updates?!
well sorry, but...

I'VE BEEN BUSY AT HOME.
preparing for Raya what.
and if i'm not home helping mum with kueh or cakes, vacuuming, cleaning the room or making ketupats, i'd be out the whole day shopping for Raya stuff!

like earlier today, i just bought a Paris Hilton wallet.
matches my handbag! hehehe. *sniggers*

see, it's 3:19am now and my home's still so bright like as if it's still in the early hours of the night. mum's still baking cakes (it's Nutella cake tonight) and dad's still making ketupats. me? I NEED A BREAK, alright! i hung up the curtains, helped dad with ketupats & cleaned mum's room already. *wipes forehead*

i'm geared up for Raya, top to toe! hair trimmed, makeup stashed (hehe, sister's), 2 costumes (in black & brown. sehati sejiwe with him or what sia.. haha), accessories and lovely peeptoe pumps! ;)

oh and just a lovely sidenote: i won a pair of preview tix for Big Stan & another pair of complimentary movie passes from Lime! i joined the contest for fun actually and it was my first time at that! this is called luck.

but the place to collect them passes is so hard to find can?
Shafian & I were lost in AMK and we ended up in some industrial place with factories and all. plus, we were fasting! hot hot heat okay. i kept whinining, "can we just take a cabbbbb?" and he with his male ego still wants to try. so ok.

in the end? "come, let's just take a cab ah.."

NLMZ outing.

went out with NLMZ last thurs.
bowling at Marina. saw Azri there. lol.
walked over to flyer for Popeye's where we met Nad.

alright, SOME pictures.

went to Johor yday with family + a couple of other relatives.

went to Angsana and a late night market.

reached home at 3am for the very first time from JB. -_-

mumsy bought for me a bottle of perfume! :DD

i wanted CK Eternity but they didn't have the old version that i wanted.

anyway, this Escada one has a very pretty smell! i like~

OHHHH! THIS IS A MUST MENTION. after JB while we (parents/aunt/cousin/myself in dad's car) were waiting for the rest (in uncle's car) at some carpark, i decided that i wanted to try driving the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the carpark was silent and it was like 230am so why not???!!!!!!

i called my dad over to sit at the passenger side while i try to drive. HE'S SO SPORTING, HE CAME OVER WITHOUT SAYING A WORD AND SAT IN THE CAR. LIKE HOW COOL IS MY DAD?!?!

anyway, i was quite freaked out. LOL.

all i did was change the gear and i'm already like, "OMG, CORRECT OR NOT??"

HAHAHAHA.

I DROVE THE CARE ON MY OWN FOR LIKE 30m?!

NICE FEELING!!!!!!!

then my dad told me to reverse and that's when i totally zonked out and he did the steering while i accelerated. HAHAHA.

i was so scared!!

but it's so cooooooool!!! hahahahahaha.

i'm damn happy! :DD

can't wait for my driving lesson which seems to be like in 10000 years more.

watched The Lake House for the second time on HBO 2 nights ago.
the first time i saw it was with sister in the cinema a couple of years ago. that movie still triggered my tearducts! so damn sweet and romantic. and of course, my favourite Sandra Bullock always makes a movie worth watching! heh heh.

yesyes, i've settled my bag AND shoes for Raya. :D
headed to Orchard with my mum and in less than an hour, i already purchased both items. see, i'm not that fussy. hehehe. i got a pair of brown peeptoe pumps with a cute bronze bowtie and to match that, a lovely lovely bronze and gold handbag from Paris Hilton.

yeah i know it's abit hard to imagine (Paris Hilton designs pretty handbags?!) but trust me, all her bags are SO cute! think Guess with a girly-and-meant-for-the-youth twist.
oooohh, i like.! i mean, no offence Guess fans but what i think is their designs are always the same - messy, complicated and there's just too much going on. never liked them. =/

SUNDAY: went down to IMM with parents on PUBLIC TRANSPORT, omg.
like how long ago did i board an MRT/bus with my parents?! LOL.
bro used the family car and sister is selfish with hers!
we are poor things lor. =[

anyway, we break fast at BK.
and then we walked to a certain bakery shop at JE.

mum and i went crazy.
she bought all the stuff she needed for baking cookies this Raya while i browse the stuff needed to bake cupcakes! yes, my motivation to cook/bake/read recipes is baaaack! rofl. i was about to get a can of ready-made icing (the kind which you can directly deco with), but it costs like 10$?! expensive can? =.=

so i decided to make my own icing with mum's help.
i can make allllll the colours of the rainbow i want! V(^_^)V
bought mini-cups and ultra pretty daisy deco made of sugar.

happy girl, i am.
