Kartini

last night was dinner with the parents, sister & abg Wandy.
pre-celebration for mummy's bday this thursday! ;)
we had dinner at Kartini Indonesian Restaurant, Parkway Parade. Kangkong Belacan, Sambal Sotong, Tahu Telor as some of the side dishes. aaaaand i chose my ultimate favourite, super spicy Telur Belado! yumyumsss.! =9

sister & abg wandy surprised mummy with a chocolate fudge cake from AwfullyChocolate!

which reminds me, i'm gonna have a slice of it now! hungry!

back! mmm, so sinful. hehe.

after dinner, we hung around PP and me being the bookworm that i am, persuaded mum to accompany me to Borders. hehehe. i took my own sweet time browsing the huuuuge array of books while the rest waited for me outside. HEHEHE.

there were manymany books that caught my eye and it's all so tempting!!!
i was sooo wanting to get Jodi Picoult's booooooks esp!
omgxzxzx la.

i came out of Borders after like 20min and mum asked,
"what you wanna buy?"
"THE WHOLE SHELF. PLEASE?"

hahahaha.
anyway i got 2 books from a publisher called littleblackdress.
they've got various authors and a truckload of different titles to choose from. pretty cheap too at 11$ each! can you imagine me, cross-eyed, trying to figure out which ones to buy? i'm not sure whether they're a good read though, i mean compared to popular authors like Nicholas Sparks & Jodi Picoult. but i hope they are! ;)

i already told my sis and abg wandy to get me books for my bday.
you can get them for me too!
books only, i don't ask for much! *smiles innocently*
but if you reeeeeeeally are getting for me a book right, ask me what book i want first ok? HAHAHAHA. just in case lah! =B

and because i am in love with reading novels, i will motivate myself to start saving everyday so i can buy ONE NOVEL EACH MONTH. what do you think? snazzaaaaye! i can't wait for November to end!! :D

oh and btw, don't tell me to go library and borrow books ok!
if i preferred that, i would've frequent the library.
so just leave me and my books alone.! (hahaha)

Our Babygirls!

okaaaaaay i'm blogging, i'm blogging! =P

YESTERDAY;

Shafian & I headed down to the Singapore Conference Hall where the Flea.Fly.Flo.Fun Flea Market is held. that's where we'll be collecting our Lyla Holga. (:

thanks to Shafian's accurate gut instincts, we weren't lost. so i trusted him to show the way for the rest of the day. HAHA! anyway, the flea market was held in such an enclosed space, it was hard for us to walk around (not to mention breathe)! it was small, cramped and crowded that we had enough after 1 round searching for GrannySnaps. LOL.

apparently, GrannySnaps was right infront of the 2nd entrance.
major kukuness.

so we collected Lyla Baby and her adaptor, and since i exchanged the Rose Edition to a normal white one, there's an excess 25$. GrannySnaps was supposed to refund me 25$ in cash. i told them there's no need for the refund because we are very cool people.......

...so we bought a Vivitar Ultra Slim & Wide on the spot.

TODAY;

we bought a roll of film to try Lyla Holga first!
we didn't know how to load it so we went over to the shop and the uncle was very kind enough to help us! yayyyyyyy(:

we didn't go far to snap pictures though. it was only our first roll of film anyway so we took random stuff cos we didn't really know how Lyla works.

"*clicks shutter* that's all? then what?"
"i don't feel like the picture is taken!!!!!"

HAHAHA.
but oh wells, we'll just send it for processing and see how it turns out.
hopefully everything is fine and we actually took pictures.
rofl.

i know there aren't any pictures in this entry. although i have Shafian's digital camera with me now, i can't upload any pictures cos i don't have his cable and i can't find my memory card reader. so you guys just have to wait. tmr perhaps? i'll upload the pictures in this entry, not the next.

no Rose Holga for me! =[

i got it replaced with a white one though.
not pink. because pink suddenly looks u.g.l.y after i saw the Rose edition.
ARGH. omg-ness. heartbreakkkkkk.

pls tell me it's nice!

on the bright side, now i feel more at ease cos it's a unisex colour.
hahaha.
it'll still be called Lyla!
because it's still our babygirl. girl okay, GIRL! ^^

we'll be collecting Lyla this Saturday at the Flea.Fly.Flo.Fun flea market.

oh and yes, i was expecting at least 3weeks to receive our baby.

which hp style am i?

I AM SEARCHING FOR A NEW PHONE.

desperately.

currently, i am using my mum's old phone.
pathetic to the maxxxxxxx.
from my N73 that i love so much and haven't got bored of, to this little phone with no music function!!! and VGA camera leh, can you believe it?! -_-

so i've been surveying a few handphone-to-be(s) outside and online, and i've narrowed down my choices!! the 2 main features i want in my hp is HIGH QUALITY CAMERA/IMAGE RESOLUTION and MUSIC FUNCTION (or able to store songs). i let yall see what phone i'm thinking of getting! and also what i love and dislike abt each one of them..

LET's GO!

Nokia N85

Why it's loved:

it's a slide up (and down) phone.

i've been searching for a slide/flip phone for the longest time!! and N85 doubles my happiness when i found out it's a two-way slide phone!! HAHA!!

it has music functions.

supports MP3 format too! =B

its high resolution camera.

5 megapixels and up to 20x zoom! *clapclap*

Downsides:

it's pretty heavy.

128g. my N73 is 116g and i already don't fancy the weight of that.

laggardness.

Nokia phones are known for it's lag especially music dedicated phones. and what happens when you add a 5mp camera into the same gadget? annoyance.

Nokia N79

Why it's loved:

its sleek appearance.

i love love love simple phones and especially nice to press keypads!

its high resolution camera.

5 megapixels!

it has music functions.

supports MP3 format too! v(n_n)v

it's as light as a feather (ok, exagg).

97g!!!! that sounds very light for a phone yeah?

Downsides:

its a monoblock phone.

boring. and reminds me so much of N73. because i want something different!

Nokia 7610 Supernova

Why it's loved:

superrrr sleek look.

the display screen and keypads are reflective! the keypads are simple and easy to press. it looks ultra cool when it's in your hands, like as if it's worth alot more than it is!

it comes in pink.

girls, how many pink hp can you see in the market right now?! COUNTABLE!! so take advantage of this chance! hahahaha.

has music functions.

also supports MP3 format.

it's a slide up phone.

like i said, i've been wanting a nice slide/flip phone for the longesttt time.

it's light.

99g! comparable to above phone.

Downsides:

its not-as-great camera resolution.

3.2 megapixels. i know la, not bad! but got 5 megapixels phone in the market already what, why waste it?! anyway, my N73 is 3.2 megapixels so i already have a feel of that. now i want a higher megapixel-ed(?) phone!

Sony Ericsson C905

Why it's loved:

it's a slide up phone.

haha! 'nuff said!

it has music functions.

ditto.

its marvelous camera function.

freaking 8.1 megapixels with freaking Xenon flash. and it's a freaking Cybershot phone! it's like a digital camera in itself already. NEED I SAY FREAKING MORE?! *screams*

its sophisticated appearence.

especially the back. i like how it looks like an actual camera.

Downsides:

it's thick.

i want to be able to slot my phone into my pocket!

it's heavy.

136g! it acts like an actual camera, even in terms of weight. =[

well, there you go.

i'm eyeing on N79 for now.

and staring at C905.

although it's pretty heavy. but the camera is.. *drops jaw*

plus, 8.1 megapixel phones won't come cheap right?

the price would be like, idk... *drops jaw even further*

N79 sounds the best now, but i really want a different phone.

i am fussy not. it's for the best, what.

it's not like it's a cheap toy right?!

UPDATE: A7B5 Chalet

this'll be a pretty long entry, i suppose.
but no worries, there'll be a whole chunk of pictures for your eyes to candy on.

firstly, A7B5 Chalet: 14-16 Nov.
Nadd, Muna & yours truly stayed over the 2nd night.
Linn couldn't stay, which was a bummer.
would've been merrier if she slept over.

so on 15 Nov, we arrived at the chalet at around 3+pm.
only us NLMZ were at the bungalow at first.
the rest were at EHub.

well, the chalet wasn't as fun as i expected.
probably cos it rained heavily and we stayed indoors 3/4 of the time.
and when i said indoors, i literally mean indoors.
yeah, we stayed in the room just the 4 of us.
played silly games and UNO.

pretty boring actually.
after awhile, we joined the rest of our classmates in another room playing another round of UNO. dreary. but what to do, it was still raining. after awhile it drizzled a little and we made a decision to go swimming! :D Linn didn't bring anything to wear though, since she wasn't staying over, so she borrowed Nadd's shorts and my MI tee. haha.

so we went swimminggggggg! :D
AlexZz, Alex and Clairmond were there too, so we played 'Monkey' with their ball (holeyyy cow, that sounded SO wrong! -_- ). we left the pool at around 7pm and headed back to the chalet.

BBQ didn't start until 9+pm.
Linn had to go without eating the BBQ food. =/
so BBQ went like that and by the time i checked my watch, it was surprisingly already 1+am in the morning. LOLz. Nadd, Muna & I stayed up till 450am & our eyes couldn't take it any longer. so we went to our room with MsLee sleeping away. we slept a wink only. woke up at 6am. packed and we left with MsLee by cab.

after we left the bungalow, Nadd, Muna and myself had breakfast at McD's while waiting for the shops to open. it was only 7+am, so we lounged at McD and crapped while we were obviously half-dead. Muna collected the photos and we headed home.

hahahah.

yesterday, i went for Shafian's Open House.

well not much can be said, except i felt really odd being there.

but first week of school usually only has lectures, and my lecture tmr is from 4pm-6pm. 2 HOURS ONLY. my journey to and fro adds up to 4hrs. 4 HOURS. so do you think i'm going to school? and for tues, 1hr lecture from 1pm-2pm. so i guess my first day of school isn't on the first day after all. HAHA.

as for today! went for practical.
i had a better instructor, thank goodness.
at least i don't feel so pressurised.

skip all the goody parts and let's go to the best part.

i was in the circuit turning right.
and the rule was that if you're turning right, all cars going straight or turning left have the priority over me. so i was to wait before i turn. at that point of time, i was behind a car who was also turning right. the car infront cleared the right turn, so what i did was checked blindspots and all and went ahead with the turn behind him.

i was also aware (repeat: AWARE) that there was a slow (repeat: SLOW) moving car going straight. he was still in a bend, quite far (repeat: QUITE FAR) from where i was and i knew that i'd clear the turn before that car crosses my path!

instructor: wait wait, stop! don't turn first!
me: huh? * steps on brake pedal* why?
ins: straight moving cars got priority over right turning ones right..
me: ohhh ya. okay..

i was already in the first lane of the opposite direction.
i thought he'd ask me to just go ahead! -_-
i pretended to forget that the straight moving car had the right of way.

ins: ok go ahead. wah, fierce ah you young girl!
me: hahahaha, sorry ah.

WALAO WEYYY, SORRY LA. =X
what? was i suppose to waaaaaaait for the slow straight moving car to finish crossing me before i make my right turn?!?! (yes) he was moving so slowly and it was still far lor!! (doesn't matter) i can possibly clear the right turn before he reaches me!! (only if you're a qualified driver!!)
