a quick update on my sad life.

~ IPT summary notes due date extended to 5th Jan, yayness!
~ i've no idea what's gg on in projects, except IPT.
~ received my first term test paper back today - Retail Management. the score wasn't too bad. (: if only my sciences are like that. i'll jump for joyyyy.!
~ received news: 80% failure for PIA. i don't have to wonder how i did for the paper anymore.
~ will be an A-Guide (again) for TP Open House 2009. and i still don't remember signing up for it. worst still, my duty times clash with 3 of my tutorials perfectly. yeah luh, got LOA. but still, tutorials lehh! wasted.

and guess how i'm gonna spend my new year's eve?

- Cine: headed over cos Nadd & Ayu told me to. LOL, okay. saw a familiar face on TP's banner. hahaha. =x went to the Korean shop or somewhere along that line..... AND I SAW THE FRICKIN' NICE ANNA SUI REPLICA OF THE OIL BLOTTER CASING! aaahhhhhh, damn it! it has butterfly designs on it too! I AM SO GETTING THAT, when i have the money. ARGHH! damn niceee!! *clenches teeth*

gosh, it feels like a very fast week.
but school is just... idk.

school feels like rubbish right now.
i used to always look forward to school.
cos of my class.. NLMZ...
lunching tgt. spending long breaks tgt. doing everything tgt.

now?
everything's just gone.
i feel insecure. i still feel lonely even when there alot of acquaintances around me. even when i'm with the closest girls (nadd. val. shikin.), i still feel like something's missing. like school isn't school anymore. i often feel like skipping lectures. there's no more life. there's no way i can open up like i used to. i'm suppressing every emotion inside. like i've mentioned a zillion times (not exaggerating), i can't be myself anymore.

i just feel alone.

school is just work, work and work now.
and our social life's ruined thanks to these.
it used to be (pretty) easy for me to wake up for school in the mornings.
but now? i can't even drag myself out of the bed.
leave home with a frown, leave school with a bigger frown.

and i haven't stop complaining.
i won't stop until i feel right.
the smiles you see on me in school?
it's not always genuine.
try faking a happy front when inside, you just feel terrible.
NOT EASY.

I HATE SCHOOL x100.

PMic's project, by far, is the toughest for me. it's a Practical Project so we gotta source the procedures for the labwork all on our own. which is why i am pretty much lost in the deep microbiological blue sea. it is not easy, i must emphasize.

IPT isn't easy too.
but the topics are interesting which makes it kinda manageable la.
which drug is best for the patient?
we'll learn about certain diseases and its treatment too. :D

heard from Nadd last night that timetable will be out today at 10am.
so here i am, with my new semester timetable;

Monday: 9am-6pm [2 labs, 2 lectures]
Tuesday: 9am-2pm [3 tutorials, 1 lecture]
Wednesday: 11am-5pm [3 lectures]
Thursday: 9am-6pm [3 tutorials, 2 lectures]
Friday: 11am-6pm [2 lectures, 1 tutorial]

sucks biggy time.
i end at 6pm 3 outta 5 days in a week.

i kept complaining and whining (what's new?) to mum about how much i dislike the modules i'm studying in school right now. God knows how much i wanted to study BMT stuff. i am not interested about whether this medicine needs a prescription or not. i am not interested whether a pharmaceutical company needs to apply for product licence or not. & fck chemistry!

i continued telling her, i might even go to the extent of restarting poly in Nursing just to study what i like. i told her, that when i graduate, i might work in a factory producing pills after pills. or worst, in Guardian labelling the medicines!

i exclaimed, I WANT TO WORK IN A HOSPITAL LAB!

and all she said was,

i'm not gonna waste my time..

those 3 words from my mum were enough to motivate me to study as much as i can. whatever i'm put through. come what may.
God has his reasons.

and i like to dream big.
after diploma; private degree in biomedical science.

currently i have mild fever, headache & a very bad sore throat.
nice.

okaaaaaay, update on my overnight at TP first alright.
headed to school at 5pm. assembled at LT 7 as usual.
did some briefing and whatnots.
gave out the Applied Science pirate-themed black tee.

were told to change and yadiyadiya.
then we were brought to the TCC-Temasek Convention Centre and did some cheering. stayed there for quite some time. around 6plus till it got dark. then we were brought down to the campfire site. played a few games, cheered like craaaaazy. then we had buffet dinner by the campfire. ((: food was superb. at least better than any other camp food. yumyum.

after dinner, we got back into our ships a.k.a "clans" and did more cheering and played games. then we all did the TP Mass Dance surrounding the campfire. it was tres hilarious and fun! then we did the chicky dance. it was MADNESS luh this one. everyone just grabbed each other's shoulders and ran like mad forwards and backwards. i felt like my arm was breaking. =.=

the best part, once when we ran backwards holding on to each other, Lin, Nadiah, Muna and myself fell flat on the ground! we thought the whole of our row fell too but no! it was only FOUR of us! so paiseh can! LMAO. nice one luh. yup, then we just go crazy around the campfire. we were all so shagged after the running but the OLs made us do the TP MD and the chicky dance once again. super crazy.

after the campfire, we heaed back to the TCC for a briefing on GOLD RUSH - another game we'd be playing. we slacked around the TCC for a long while, enjoying the aircon most of the time. it was around 11+pm i think, when one of the lecturers briefed us on Gold Rush. the point of the game is to search for 5 stations throughout the campus and complete the games at each station so that we can collect the gold coins.

-

am not gonna go into details about the stations but my fav was the pingpong in flour one. we were supposed to blow the pingpongs out of the container full of flour. my group violated the rules alot but we didn't care. haha. we ended up finishing first. and we "helped" the station master to arrange the pingpongs back; so we buried the balls. so deep that we can't even tell there are pingpongs in there. hahaha.

that station was nice, we laughed a hell lot.
managed to get all 5 gold coins and then we headed to front of the library for a snack.
they gave us chocolates!

-

it was around 4+am then, when a surprise came.
the OLs came to our table and they were holding the small plastic bag full of brown stuff. IT DOESN'T LOOK GOOD. then when they poured the contents of the bag on a plate, IT WAS FULL OF LIVE MEALWORMS mixed with brown rice. all squirming and wriggling around! gross! they dared us to seperate the mealworms from the rice and it was super scary i tell ya! i saw the guys did it and it didn't look so bad. so i picked up the BIG worm and put it in another plate. HURRAH! i did it man! hiakhiakhiak!

then i took another 3 small worms and then done, i wouldn't want to touch it again.
hahaha.

after that hoohaa, we headed back to the TCC where we slacked among our classmates. the OLs didn't arrange anything so we played among ourselves and just chatted and stuff. then when the sun was about the rise, probably 7am in the morn, we were brought back to the LT where we usually assemble. they gave us time for a short power nap before the debriefing at 830am. i slept, i dreamt, i woke up half-dead. then we had breakfast. puffs and a hot cup of milo gave me a little energy. they debriefed us and we were let off at 915am - 45min early.

-

came home at around 12. napped at 2pm and i snooozed till 6pm.
veryvery tired.

-

the last day of orientation was yesterday.
first half of day was great but the next half for me was just terrible.

TPSU gave all freshmen tees. Applied Science tee was green. not any green but LIME GREEN. bright bright pretty green. hehe. then we all got changed. we had talks at the TCC and the OLs did a skit for us.
blahblahblah.

my whole class was selected for the Amoeba telematch game to represent AS school cos we won during the inter-class games on the first day of orientation. so yup. all the freshmen from all schools assembled at the stadium.

fast forward.

telematch competitions started off with the Sarong Party a.k.a Amoeba game. which meant we went first. Engineering got first place while AS got second. wewtz! if the guys at the back didn't trip, we were sure to get first place lor! ENG and AS was like, 1mm close. serious sey!

then the skiing game - AS first.
then the moonball challenge - AS first.
then the krazy katerpillar game - AS first.
ain't sure about save the bomb one though.

haha, we rock.

after the game, i started feeling unwell.
headache man. the loud cheering didn't help though. actually i already started feeling feverish during the competition briefing. maybe when i was playing the game that it got worse. the sun was freaking hot whaat. sheez.

after the telematches, we headed to Bedok Reservoir for the TP Regatta.
dragonboating challenge. ok i am clueless on who won what because when they all stand, i just sat. my headache was killing me and i already had a fever then. so i sat all the way. when i felt a little ok then i stood once in a while. yeah, what a waste, i could've been screaming like a maniac but i sat down sick and miserable instead. :(

oh well.

after a painful (for me) long while, we headed back to the campus and i was really in a grouchy state. i couldn't wait to go home. it was 630pm when we got back to campus. i tried to stay cheerful for my friends but i am aware of my fake smile plastered on my steamed face. gosh. when we FINALLY got to the LT, they gave out our matric cards and timetable.

it was 830pm when it all ended.
mum and dad fetched me, thank God!

by the time i'm home, i had a bad fever and splitting headache.
dad gave me panadol extras and i snoozed to lala land.

woke up this morn feeling better except for my throat.
i can't even talk. :(
pain pain pain.

sorry can't be bothered to make it fun-sounding lah.
too sick.

but i swear this is the best orientation i've ever been to.
i clicked with friends fast, food was extremely good, OLs was fantastic, schedule for everything was perfectly planned out, sufficient time for eating and everything was great. i didn't feel bored (except for the waiting) at all!

i received a letter by Temasek Applied Science School regarding the orientation. DAMN! i have to attend four days of orientation including one overnight stay on campus! this is so moronic. overnighting at an unfamiliar place with noone you know. so sick, so sick, so sick!

besides the formal letter on the detail of the orientation, the committee also attached an 'informal' one and it was pirate-themed. check this out:

the first time i read it, i was really excited. I ACTUALLY THOUGHT I HAD TO BRING THE REAL PASSPORT so i'm like, for whaaaat?! the 'passports' are actually the consent forms. =.=
second time reading it, looking forward to it.
the third time i read it, i find it very lame. =.=

OH YES, I WANTED TO MENTION THAT I AM SOOOO GLAD I DIDN'T GET THOSE HAVAIANAS TREKKING SANDALS. you know the ones that looks like a slipper but it has the strap around your ankle kind? yes, i've eyed them since i went to NUM to get my bag. i've wanted to get it ever since BUT i saw the Ipanema sandals (which cost about the same as Havaianas') and decided to get them instead. am lucky i didn't get those Havaianas! WHY? BECAUSE SO MAAAAAAAANY PEOPLE USING THE HAVAIANAS TREKKING! in one afternoon i can count until 7 ! zzzzzzz.

gee, i don't mind Havaianas slippers but the Trekking one is all over the place!

i am freaking tired. and my back hurts! =(

went to TP with mum again today.
JUST TO SEND THE INDEMNITY FORM.
one piece of miserable paper and we had to go all the way there! LOLs. so anyway, journey there was fine. mum wanted to go Tampines Mall after to search for the Royal Cakes shop. we walked a good two rounds before we found it. fantastic. =.=

so we bought $10 worth of stuff.
4 muffins, 3 cakes and 1 beef shepherd's pie. YUMYUMYUMYUM. what's good food if it isn't fattening, yeah? heh heh. then we walked around some more, had lunch and theeeeeen mum asked me if i wanted to check out Levi's Ladies. wowee. hehe! so i went to look at the jeans and decided to skip the idea first. no point rushing to get it now. anyway, it ain't cheap so might as well survey properly rather than buy on impulse, correct?

oh yeah, a few days ago, i logged in friendster and realised 4 different malay guys wanted to add me as a friend. i browsed through their friendster and none of them i knew. so i rejected all their requests. i mean, unless i know who they are in some way or another then it's fine. but they are all total strangers to me! we weren't even in the same pri school or whatever. creepers.

YEAH, THEY WEREN'T GOOD-LOOKING EITHER. =/

i don't know, but i'd rather accept girl-strangers as friends rather than guys. even if those girls aren't pretty, which is kinda uncommon, BECAUSE ALL GIRLS ARE GORGEOUS.
